PitchSeries Junior League Contest

Do you have an great idea? Tell us about it in 60 seconds or less for a chance to win $100! Past and present students of Codecraft Lab are invited to participate. Simply use the questionnaire below as a guide to create a written draft of your pitch. All pitches must be submitted to Shannon Landin by next Thursday, April 23, either in person at the Codecraft Lab headquarters in downtown Eau Gallie, 1423 Highland Ave., or by email to shannon@codecraftlab.org. Anyone who has an idea and wants some help with the draft can come to Codecraft Lab any evening (Monday - Thursday) between 5 and 7 pm. Five students will be selected to deliver their pitches at 6 pm on Friday, April 24 at Jaycon Systems, 801 E. Hibiscus Blvd., Unit B, in Melbourne. Three finalists selected that night will compete against each other at 6:30 pm on Friday, May 8, at the Space Coast Pitch Series Event held at Friday Fest in downtown Melbourne. Winners get ice cream and: $100 First Place $50 Second Place $25 Third Place This junior league event is a new addition to an on going startup event series hosted by Jaycon Systems, added to promote STEM education and future entrepreneurs on the Space Coast.     (1) QUICKLY! WHAT do you want to make, or build? (10 sec)     (2) Let’s get people interested!! Tell a short story about HOW you imagine the thing, or software, or system you build will work, or HOW you will build this idea. (25 sec)     (3) Last step, make people CARE!!! WHY is this important to you, or your community, group, or target audience? Sometimes this can be two sentences; sometimes four, but never more than a paragraph (25 sec)
