Minecraft Modding

Level: Beginner, Intermediate

Turn their passion for Minecraft into a new skill! In this camp, students will learn how to make their own Minecraft modifications, or mods, with Java. Students will take control of their game environment by designing and building custom mods to suit their playstyle. They’ll learn Java code online through a simple drag and drop interface and become a modding pro in no time!

This camp requires students to have an existing Minecraft account.

What will students learn?
Students will be introduced to one of the most popular and versatile programming languages in the world, all while making functional mods to their favorite game.

Who is the course appropriate for?
This camp is best for students who have some experience with Scratch, but is friendly to complete beginners as well! During the first day of camp, we'll assess students and divide the camp into groups based on age and experience level.

Camp Schedule: 

*8:30 am: Drop off and check in for the first day of camp 

8:50: Drop off

9:00 am: Camp begins

10:30 am: Snack break 

12:00 pm: Lunch break in the playground (weather permitting!) 

1:30 pm: Camp continues 

2:30 pm: Free time! 

3:00 pm: Pick up
