The Codecraft Foundation’s mission is to transform the lives of young people and communities through democratized access to STEAM education. In support of this mission, Codecraft Works and Codecraft Foundation continue the an on going will collaboratation to deliver impactful lessons, tools, opportunities, and instruction. Committed to empowering all under represented students to discover the magic of computing, this collaboration brings exposure to STEM jobs, mentors, and opportunities to develop critical, computational thinking over time. We bring computer science to life for this audience with interactive, cross-curriculuar learning, engaging project-based options, and inspirong coordination with industry experts. This collaboration highlights the unyeilding believe held by both organizations that every student should learn to code and we aim to make it a reality. For a second year, the Brevard Achievement Center (BAC) and Codecraft Works will collaborate to deliver a year long program for students ages 14 to 21 designed to provide vocational experience through a variety of software development and data experiences. Hosted by Codecraft Works with collaboration from, industry and community.
Students who are clients of the Florida Dept of Vocational Rehabilitation can request a Fibonacci Program referral and apply. This program uses a skills, talents, and intersts-based approach to engage the participant in the challenge and possibilities available in the software and data analytics industries. All seven students at the end of this eight-week course passed their Google Certification exam, four of them with perfect scores. They started with Google Basic training, then Google Advanced training, and then they did the Google Power User certification exam.
[Codecraft was] able to put this program together fairly quickly from conception, thought, to actually enacting it.
The kids walked away with knowledge – the [demo day] presentations made that clear. They were so proud of, and excited about, all that they had accomplished.

Our online platform allows students to interact with an instructor just as they would in person. Video conferencing, screen-sharing, and live code editing capabilities lets instructors work with students and give feedback in real time.
Students can take Codecraft Live programs from anywhere they can set a laptop down. All that’s needed is a pair of headphones, a microphone, and internet access.
