The Space Coast Minecraft Users Group (SCMUG) is organized to bring game fans together for collaborative play, as well as for powerful learning. As a users group we will share, brainstorm, and self-organize for projects and planning. We hold free monthly meetings in the Melbourne, FL area featuring discussions, presentations, build-off challenges, and a monitored LAN server environment.

Who Is Invited: Open to the public, free of charge. ALL minors MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No unattended children will be allowed. Total participation at any time is limited to 45 people.

What: Join up with other Minecraft Pocket Edition players at the “PE Round Table,” or bring your laptop (and an ethernet cable if you have one) to join the local Minecraft server. Discussions will feature talk about mods, making mods, running your own server, and Minecraft-related open source projects.  For interested Parents, we can discuss and explore safety, benefits, dangers, and other opportunities for collaborative learning.
If you don’t own it already, you can buy Minecraft for PC/Mac. Minecraft: Pocket Edition is available for iOS and Android. According to the Minecraft.net website at the time this page was created, “… over 12,496,156 people bought the PC/Mac version of the game.”‘
